《花旗少林》由演员周润发，吴倩莲，刘家辉，秦汉，蔡宇，郭追，乔宏，王敏德等联合出演，刘镇伟同时担任导演和编剧，影片全长105分钟，于1994年1月29日在中国香港上映，影片主要讲述了张正（周润发 饰）是一名美籍华人，因为他工作能力较强，工作成绩突出，被派到中国大陆护送一件宝物的运输并且他在这个过程中还认识了少林寺里一名七岁的小和尚清淳，他们整日相伴，随着时间的发展，他们结下了深厚的友谊。但是因为两人都来自不同的文化背景，成长环境和行为做事的方法也不同。因此有很多事情，两人之间总是发生争吵和矛盾。 一直到后面他才意外得知，那宝物并不是一个物质意义上的一个文物，而是一个有超能力的人，两人通过这件事情逐渐发生了异样的感情。
